Sports Nutrition Workshop Designed by England's Leading Sports Nutritionist
Sports Nutrition is without doubt the area that most recreational, Club level and even Professional athletes make the biggest mistakes. We've developed a 2½ Hour Sports Nutrition workshop that introduces the Key concepts of Sports Nutrition to your Club or Organisation. During the interactive workshop the attendees will learn the basics so they have a sound foundation on which to build on. The workshop is fully interactive, you're not going to be sitting there watching 2 hours of powerpoint slides zipping by. You will get your hands dirty literally as the 2 hours fly by. Matt Lovell in tandem with his business partner Gavin Allinson have developed a 2 1/2 Hour Sports Nutrition workshop to help clubs and organizations learn and implement a sports nutrition plan to ensure they are eating and preparing correctly. Here's an outline of what we'll cover: Proteins, Carbs and Fats Brief outline of the key benefits of the different food stuffs. Energy Density UNDERSTANDING THIS CONCEPT enables you to manage your weight effectively. This reason alone is why so many people eat what they think is a good diet but are still overweight. How to eat more food and manage your weight up or down. Blood sugar Insulin roller coaster We'll explain this and you'll learn why drinking too much of an energy drink before a game can impair your performance. Hydration Why paying too much attention to hydration the day before could impair your match day performance.Depending on the demands of your sport we'll tailor the presentation accordingly, for running clubs and triathletes this area is obviously of more importance.
YOU will get to mix up a range of protein drinks for you to try, we'll mix in some performance enhancing vegetables that will surprise you that can turn a protein shake into a fully nutritious meal. FATS Why they are not the enemy most health professionals lead you to believe.
Pre, During and Post Training Nutrition Work harder during training sessions and RECOVER faster. Sounds like the 'Holy Grail' we will show you how. The better you recover the harder you can train in your next session and the more your RESULTS WILL IMPROVE. Post training Shake We'll make post training shake, we'll teach you how to jazz these up and make them into a nutritious super food extravaganza. You will receive a Diet Diary to complete before the workshop. We'll analyse these and then each participant will create their own weekly meal plan.
